On October 15, 2025, the Study Day organized by SPN on the initiative of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MIT) was held in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Naples Federico II.
The event, dedicated to the implementation of guidelines and integrated monitoring for the prevention of natural and anthropogenic hazards, was attended by representatives of C.U.G.RI., the Universities of Naples and Salerno, the Archaeological Park of Pompeii, and the Orders of Engineers of Naples and Salerno.

After the institutional greetings and introduction of representatives from the MIT and professional associations, the morning was devoted to theoretical and technical-scientific applications related to infrastructure safety and territorial monitoring. Among the main speakers, David Loncarevic (SPN/SIS) illustrated the modernization activities of the A3 Naples-Salerno motorway, while professors Settimio Ferlisi, Rosario Montuori, Luigi Petti, Antonio Bilotta, Carlo Rainieri, Antonio Santo, and Giovanni Battista Chirico explored topics related to instrumental monitoring, hydrogeological hazards, and the structural and geotechnical aspects of infrastructure. Professor Maria Rosaria Pecce concluded the scientific session with a reflection on the state of research and future prospects in the field of infrastructure safety. In the afternoon, the day continued with the presentation of case studies, including the monitoring and maintenance of the Archaeological Park of Pompeii, followed by a round table discussion.
The initiative represented a significant opportunity for discussion between the academic world, institutions, and professionals, confirming the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in risk management and prevention.
